My expectations for this were higher based on the ending of Fifty Shades of Grey and this book definitely met them.
I think that E L James realized that she was over killing this with all the extremely descriptive sex scenes and finally decided to tone it down a bit. That's something that I really like since okay we get it Christian and Ana have an insatiable sex drive, can we just get on with the rest of the book? There are more parts when the author lets you know that they are going to have sex but doesn't go into detail and just leaves it at that (thank you).
Another thing that I really enjoyed was that the story line isn't so based on Twilight, it becomes its own thing and it's a relief since in Fifty Shades of Grey that made me cringe. Overall, if you've made it to the second book, congrats! The first book deals with a lot of issues that can be hard for some people to deal with but this book explains it all, so if you're curious you should read it.
Anyway, I'm off to read Fifty Shades Freed because shit's getting gooooood. Happy reading! :D
